Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
You will meet our driver at the reception of your Nairobi hotel at 0630 hrs and will be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch the 0730 hrs Air Kenya scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park. On arrival at 0810 hrs you will be met by a driver guide and taken to Tortilis Camp. With breathtaking views of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, here one will find excellent cuisine and luxuriously appointed tents with en-suite bathrooms.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Enjoy varied game viewing and also spend time following the matriarchal elephant herds from the luxury of open sided safari Land Rovers; or walk with a trained Maasai guide, sip sundowners on top of Kitirua hill as the sun sets colouring the snows of Kilimanjaro pink, bush breakfasts out on the plains or a visit to one of the Maasai manyattas (villages) to meet the Maasai women, watch the Morans (young warriors) dance and experience their age-old existence.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park - Meru National Park
After an early breakfast transfer to the airstrip to catch the 0820 hrs Air Kenya flight to Nairobi, arrives 0900 hrs. At 0915 hrs you will fly onwards to Meru National Park, where you will be met and transferred to Elsa’s Kopje. The lodge is a luxurious oasis in the wilds of Meru National Park. Elsa’s Kopje was named after Elsa the lioness made famous by George and Joy Adamson in the film ‘Born Free’, released into the wild here in Meru. The word Kopje means ‘small hill’. The lodge blends into the hillside of Mughwango Hill, site of George Adamson’s original camp.

Day 4: Meru National Park
Meru is vast with arid, open plains dotted with Doum Palms and Baobab trees and lush vegetation along 13 rivers, like green ribbons, bisecting the Park. Here you will see a more diverse range of species than in any other Park or Reserve. Regular sightings include Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Elephant, Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Lesser Kudu, Grant’s Gazelle, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Rhino and the rare, elusive Greater Kudu. Meru is famous for its bird life, including riverine and forest species as well as the arid dry country species.

Day 5: Meru National Park - Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip. A short flight will bring you 1100 hrs to Samburu National Reserve. A game drive will take you to Samburu Saruni, a design lodge perched on the top of a hill with an all-round view of Northern Kenya. Samburu Saruni’s activities include night and morning game drive in Kalama Conservancy, rock climbing, professionally-led game walks, bush dinners, drawing safaris, Samburu well-being space, star gazing, and more.

Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve
Samburu Saruni is close enough to game drive inside Samburu National reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve and West Gate Conservancy, but many activities take place in Kalama, a well-kept secret of Kenya's North. The recent introduction of water means that Kalama is becoming an important attraction to all the Samburu wildlife. Northern Kenya is one of Africa's last true wilderness areas. The absence of fences makes it one of the few places left that allows for the free movement of wildlife across a vast area. A red landscape dominated by acacia-grassland mosaic, with dramatic dry upland, it is home to a wide diversity of species. Inhabited by pastoral tribes with rich traditional histories that are collectively striving both to protect its ecological integrity and their own livelihoods there is no better way for visitors to experience the real Africa.

Day 7: Samburu Game Reserve - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast transfer to the airstrip to catch the 09:15 Air Kenya flight to the Maasai Mara. Your driver / guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to Saruni with game viewing enroute. Deep in the forest or by the river Mara overlooking a "hippo beach", a nicely decorated table is waiting for lunch, providing you with the thrilling experience of a gourmet meal in the middle of nature. Relax and soak up the sights and sounds of the bush in the world’s most spectacular wildlife region. After lunch and a siesta take a late afternoon game drive or an accompanied walk with the professional guides.

Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
The daily ritual of game tracking on foot or from a vehicle is addictive. The light here is superb and the views are stunning. Spend your days exploring the wilderness, watching and listening. Bush breakfast, sundowners and evenings by the campfire after dinner, lit by soft lanterns, make this a magical experience. Especially for bush dinner or bush lunch, they love to take you to their "secret spots" where you never meet another vehicle. It is the Maasai Mara as the first hunters and explorers saw it.

Day 9: Maasai Mara Game Reseve
The Maasai Mara defies description: undoubtedly the spectacular migration of Wildebeest and Zebra searching for lush grazing following the rains, stalked by the omnipresent predators, is one of the world’s greatest wildlife marvels. But the migration is by no means the only feature – this fascinating eco-system is home to enormous herds of plains game, the Big Cats and Elephant as well as colourful birds, small game, riverine wildlife and stunning scenery.

Day 10: Maasai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi
After a last game drive in the Maasai Mara you will connect with the 1100 hrs Air Kenya flight back to Nairobi. A driver from Furstenberg Safaris will transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel or to the International Airport for your journey home.
